"I'm the Boss!"

Ethan and I had fun hanging out today on my day off (while Dad was at school). We're doing lots of tummy time these days and he seems to actually be enjoying it. The slogan on his shirt, "I'm the BOSS" is pretty true!!

Pumpkins, mums, and a cute little boy!

I wanted to take some fall pictures, so we visited a pumpkin patch this afternoon. It was pretty busy and Pat didn't want to hold a photo session in the middle of everyone, so we set-up some hay bales and pumpkins in the backyard. Ethan was in a great mood, but it will definitely be easier when he can sit-up alone.

Enjoying the beautiful weather...

Ethan has recently enjoyed his first "camping" trip - twice in one month! We joined Uncle Ralph, Aunt Sandy, and the Zikas at Carlyle a few weekends ago and at Beaver Dam last weekend. We drive down to hang out during the day and then go home at night; they have campers, so it makes the experience a little easier with a baby. We bundled Ethan up, because it was a little windy, but he loves to be outdoors. Here he is relaxing in a camping chair:

"Wannabe" Soccer fan...

Most of you probably know that Pat and I aren't really sports fans. I hear that the Cards are headed to the World Series, but I haven't watched a single game in the past few years and don't even own a team shirt. Ethan has several sport related outfits, because it's popular for little ones. I couldn't pass on this one, even though I have never watched a soccer game in my life. So here is our little soccer "fan":

Ethan the Dinosaur..

Grandma Tammy got Ethan this adorable dinosaur outfit that he wore it this afternoon to run some errands. He was a little too squirmy to get good pictures, but it was so cute!

Getting big fast...

Wow, I can't believe how much Ethan has grown! Here he is at 2 weeks old and today, at 14 weeks...

Fists and fingers taste good!

One fist usually isn't enough, so Ethan likes to use the second to jam it in a little further. His eyes are getting more blue everyday and his hair has gone from black to light brown. Today has been a very smiley, talkative day - one of my favorites!

Sporting the overalls...

Babies in overalls are just too cute! I also love that they match his eyes. He's in a smiley, happy mood so far this morning, so hopefully it will continue (especially to make up for yesterday afternoon!).

I also took a short video this morning to share with our TX family. Here is the YouTube link: Ethan - 3 Months

First Laugh...

Ethan had a great day today. He was more smiley than usual and even let out his first laugh. When Pat comes up and says hello, Ethan instantly lights up and lets out a big smile. Here he is smiling at Dad before we headed out to do some yard sale-ing!

Caught mid-yawn...

Yawns and sneezes are a common occurrence at our house. It's so cute to watch him yawn over and over again, especially during his baths. I snapped this picture mid-yawn before we loaded up to run some errands.

Hanging out with Dad...

Ethan enjoying a little cuddle time with Dad before bedtime. You can see Mocha & Maverick hanging out in their usual spot on the couch (and this evening she decided to hide her face from the camera). Ethan is trying to become a TV watcher, hence his stare in the first photo; we are constantly redirecting his attention.

3 Months old (9/30/11)...

Every month, it seems like the same thing - he is more alert, growing rapidly, and starts making new sounds and fun facial features. I can only imagine when he gets closer to 6 months and really becomes a big boy! All the time, we just stare at him and say, "He is just so cute!" - it's hard to get over his adorable smiles and "talks". I think our favorite time of day is waking him up in the morning, he loves being unwrapped from the swaddle and is full of smiles. We try both being there, so we don't miss a single moment!

Showing off the double chin...

Those little chin rolls (sometimes two and sometimes THREE!) are just too cute - an adorable quality for babies, but not adults. When we run our finger under his chin, he wiggles it around and smiles. Sometimes its a squeal that almost sounds like a laugh. Tickling his chin rolls is a sure fire way to put him in a good mood!
