Bathtub in the Backyard!

It was 80 degrees outside, so we decided to carry his plastic bathtub outside and have some fun in the water.  He loved it!  He splashed, played with his toys, and then splashed some more.  It finally started to get breezy outside, so I decided we better bring head back in.

Showing off his big blue eyes...

I love this funny, determined face...

He plays with these foam puzzle pieces every single day; they make great chew toys and bath toys!

Cousins...

Ethan has LOTS of cousins (so many, that I can't even count!), but most are in Texas. David is the closest in age, at 1 year old. I was proud of Ethan, he didn't seem scared, like he has been recently around other kids. Here they are playing together on Easter...

Ethan is holding David's arm... adorable! :)

Easter at Grandma & Grandpa Wollenweber's House...

Somehow we missed taking pictures of all the Easter festivities (egg hunt and the loads of goodies), but we did get it on video. It was a great day - all the kids and adults had fun. Here's all of the grandkids together (Ethan is the youngest):

Grandma Tammy pushing him around on his scooter. He hasn't quite figured out how to move it himself, but he loves using it as a walker and playing with the basketball hoop.

He was napless after way too many hours, so we resorted to pushing him around in the stroller. One of the kids got a set of garden tools and he thought the shovel made for a nice teether!

Easter Bunny comes to visit...

Well, we weren't home very long on Easter Day, but we did get Ethan a small basket. He got some Gerber snacks, a basketball bath toy, a new sippy cup, and a squishy bunny toy (that he loves). He thought the the Easter eggs were fun!!

Fun in the Ball Pit...

When you're at home all day playing with a 9mo old, it can quickly become boring. Not boring because I have nothing to do (he keeps me busy!), but boring because you can only play with the same toys for hours each day and stare at the same 4 walls before you go a little crazy. On this particular day, we decided to create a make shift ball pit...

He kept slipping on balls when he tried standing, so he quickly became a little scared of being trapped in a box.

Pat came home and decided to try a ball pit basket, but that only lasted a minute or two. Hmm... guess we'll have to try again when he's a little older.

Outdoor fun - Geocaching & Swings

We took a short morning trip to find some geocaches in Belk Park with Sandy, Ralph, & Noah. We weren't successful and Ethan didn't appreciate it (hence the frowny face). If you've never geocached, you should check it out!

Later that day, Ethan and I went for a walk and stopped at the park for a short swing. He's definitely going to be an outdoorsy kid!

9 months... Picture refusal.

Ugh. It's tough to have a cute kid who refuses to take photos. These first 2 are the only decent 9 month pictures I was able to catch. He weighs 23 lbs and is 31" long (still in the 80 - 90% range for both). And besides my unfortunate picture taking efforts, I am really loving this age! He is so much fun - full of funny attitude and personality and all smiles.

And this is a sampling of how the other 100 pictures turned out....
